Quality Assurance (QA Intern)

Job description:

1. System Functionality Testing

• Explore the system independently to understand how each feature works.
• Perform functionality testing based on expected behavior and common user flow.
• Identify bugs, inconsistencies, or unexpected results during normal and edge-case usage.

2. UI/UX Testing

• Review the system’s user interface for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
• Check for broken layouts, misaligned elements, incorrect text, or missing components.
• Test the responsiveness and visual performance across devices and screen sizes.

3. Bug Reporting & Documentation

• Record issues clearly in Jira including, steps to reproduce, screenshots or screen recordings, expected vs. actual behavior
• Retest fixed issues and confirm whether the fix works properly.

4. Process Improvement

• Provide user-perspective feedback to improve the system flow and user experience.
• Suggest improvements in functionality or UI based on findings during exploratory testing.

5. Basic API Validation (Beginner Level)

• Test API endpoints using tools like Postman.
• Verify responses, status codes, and error handling during user actions.

6. Cross-Browser & Compatibility Testing

• Test the system on multiple browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) and devices.
• Identify any differences in layout, performance, or behavior.

7. Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with developers to discuss bugs, clarify behavior, and retest fixes.
• Attend team meetings and provide updates on testing progress.
